Batman #457 is one of my favourite Tim Drake appearances in DC Comics, Bruce battles the Scarecrows fear toxin and Timbo (in his first official outing as Robin) comes to the rescue…kicks the crap out of some henchmen whilst wearing a red ski mask, then gets hit with some fear gas and sees visions of former Robins Dick and Jason who tell him to fight the toxin and not be afraid.

Gets nice and deep at the end, just before this scene when Bruce hands Tim the new Robin costume.

I feel like the batfamily has more perfect moments than any other group in fiction. I love it.

I don’t plan on taking over for him someday. I won’t be out here on the rooftops ten years from now. I do my shift as Robin and then go back to a “normal” life.

    Tim is so awesome.

Batman taught me, guided me, trained me. What I am I owe to him. What more can I say? And Superman. I grew up in your shadow, too.
You taught me honor, selflessness, and the true meaning of the word ‘hero.’

Cosplay isn’t just for adults. Families get involved and it’s pretty much the best thing ever.

I posted a picture of this duo before, this is a friend of mine and his little boy. The father assembled the entire costume for his son just for HeroesCon and it turned out SO amazing. Everyone who saw them at the con was floored about how detailed the costume was for both father and son and how perfectly they went together.

    Families and cosplay = WIN

My only problem with this is that the Robin costume is Damian.

    Go die, Adam.

But, why is Batman wearing the New 52 suit but with black panties?

Aside from that, this is amazing.

    deconstructingdamian:

Damian might not have any respect for Dick at this point, but he’s still had a revolving door of tutors and mentors throughout his ten years of life, so it’s not that surprising to see Damian retaining something he was taught. He’s an ass, but he’s not an idiot (well that’s also debatable I suppose). I can’t tell if this is some kind of test for Damian, or an actual slip of the tongue. I doubt it’s a slip of the tongue especially since, like I said before, he doesn’t trust Damian yet. It’s a quick way to see if he was actually listening to what he was teaching him.

It also makes me wonder for how long Damian and Dick have been training together before that night. I doubt it was for that long, just enough to have Dick cover the basics, especially since Battle for the Cowl left Gotham in such chaos. Dick probably just covered the basics with Damian, since he knew the kid could already fight.

I hated it so much when Dick first became Batman, but this title quickly grew on me. They were constantly testing and pushing each other, made for some good issues.
