I’ve only read a few issues of Detective Comics since the reboot, but I’ve seen a few panels now from this issue that really make me want to pick this book up.
Batman: Detective Comics // Art by Tony Daniel
Fear Itself by Michael Reaves and Steven-Elliot Altman when I came across a passage where Bruce was attending his own Masquerade Party as Zorro. He then went on to describe how the Zorro costume made him want to swagger. I got a pretty good laugh out of it, and thought I’d share it.
Five minutes later Bruce started for the entrance hall. He was resisting the urge to swagger; there was something about the Zorro costume that was swagger-inducing. Odd, really. It was just a mask and a cape, after all; not so different from the cowl and cloak he wore nearly every night. And yet his “work clothes” inspired no desire to swagger.
Must be the sleeves, he thought.
Forgot about this until I was going through a tag trying to find something. It was actually a pretty decent Batman novel overall.
