These three (along with Admiral Thrawn, admittedly) were the absolute best part of the EU.
I hate writing dialogue.
It can be so difficult to nail down an interaction between two characters that feels authentic and real, especially if you’re writing in first-person. The reader has the benefit of knowing the main character intimately, so you have to take extra care to breathe life into the other characters since the reader doesn’t know what’s going on in their heads.
