My best friend had a king snake in a tank in his room when we were little and every time we’d go in there to play video games I’d always be watching the damn thing out the corner of my eye. 

Fortunately for me it ended up getting eaten by an owl like a year or so after he got it. 

I don’t mind them THAT much anymore, but I still get uncomfortable enough around them to not be around them.
