    Pretty sneaky of DC to make this amazing cover the variant, especially as this is the only image they used in the solicits before shipping the damn thing this week. My LCS didn’t get any of this “retailer incentive” variant and my usually reliable on-line alternatives have let me down so far. I’m watching a couple on eBay (from the States) at the moment but would rather avoid the auction route if possible. I can tell this is going to be one of those items that is going to eat away at me until it’s bagged, boarded and in my Allred longbox. This kind of thing is both the best and the worst bit about being a collector and also a being a little bit OCD about these things. The hunt is on and I will be victorious.

    #50: TILT Stephen King Can Write Comics, Too!

    But not as well as Scott Snyder can, no siree. King contributed a 5 part Western to Snyder’s fangs-out “American Vampire,” an awesome Vertigo series that you need to immediately bite into (har har.) What begins with two groans from me (No more vampires! No more things with “American” in the title!) actually expands into a wonderful alternate history of the country’s blood-thirsty denizens. Full props to Rafael Albuquerque’s pencils.
