#50: TILT Stephen King Can Write Comics, Too!
But not as well as Scott Snyder can, no siree. King contributed a 5 part Western to Snyder’s fangs-out “American Vampire,” an awesome Vertigo series that you need to immediately bite into (har har.) What begins with two groans from me (No more vampires! No more things with “American” in the title!) actually expands into a wonderful alternate history of the country’s blood-thirsty denizens. Full props to Rafael Albuquerque’s pencils.

Warner Bros. resurrecting The Dark Tower?
The Dark Tower has long been linked to a possible big-screen adaptation, but it seems that Warner Bros are now close to agreeing a deal to bring Stephen King’s mammoth fantasy to the cinemagoing public…
This should be getting so much hype right now. The series is probably the best American fantasy series to date. It beats the hell out of Lord of the Rings, in my opinion anyway. Only thing that bugs me is having Javier Bardem as Roland. I don’t think that jives at all.
