Here’s my thoughts on the possibility of a Justice League film.

It’s inevitable, especially considering the success of The Avengers over the summer. And if WB is smart, they’ll mimic the path that Marvel chose with a series of lead-in films.

Batman, obviously, is going (and needs) to be rebooted.

We need a Wonder Woman film. Everyone has this unjustifiable perception of Wonder Woman being “lame” and “outdated” and that needs to stop. If they can make a good film for Thor, they can definitely make a fantastic film for Diana.

Flash would make for a great, fun film.

The atrocity that was Green Lantern just needs to be forgotten and rebooted as well… with Ryan Reynolds far, far, far away and out of mind.

A lot of people scoff at the idea of an Aquaman film, again, because of bullshit perpetuated by people who have no grasp of what a great character Arthur is—Big Bang Theory, I’m looking at you with your shitty acting and piss-poor dialogue. A lot of people are coming around to him because of his depiction in the DCnU, so this would be a good opportunity to prove everyone wrong.

The Man of Steel might work as the starting point for a Justice League film, but we’ll just have wait and see until the movie is released and go from there.

I’m hopeful that it won’t get fucked up… but it probably will.

My friend and I were talking about this the other day. We put together a pretty sound cast for the league (Idris Elba as Martian Manhunter, Kate Beckinsale would be a great WW if she buffed up a bit, I could see Ryan Reynolds as Wally or Chris Pine as Barry, we were playing around with the idea of using John Stewart as the film GL, and possibly having Ryan Goslin as Aquaman haha). A Wonder Woman movie would be awesome, and if they could find writers that knew what they were doing an Aquaman film would be great too.
