    The Caryatid porch of the Erechtheion in Athens at sunset. I think. The maidens are on the south porch, so we should be looking west here.

    By the way, fuck Lord Elgin*. This temple was built in the 5th century BCE with six maidens, and that thieving syphilitic puke stole one of them in 1801 to decorate his manse in Scotland. Then he tried to steal another one, broke it, and left the shattered pieces where they fell.

    And then! 200 years later, these aren’t even the real Caryatids. The originals were removed in 1979, replaced with exact replicas, and are now being restored in the New Acropolis Museum.
