I remember back in 2006 when Cheyenne Freemont was introduced I was hoping they’d keep her around and make her a semi-permanent love interest, BUT NOPE. Man, she was such a neat character.
I think the whole Cheyenne thing was very poorly thought out and she just… Seemed like a rebound girl.
The writing was far from well executed, the whole one year later thing was tbh. I just like to think of that as Dick having some rough days. The whole arc with her was a mess and then there was Brothers in Blood hahahaha gosh…

I know, I know. OYL was kind of a wreck and BiB was REALLY poorly received (although, I’m pretty adamant that had it not been for Jason turning into a vomiting meta temporarily, that it would have gotten much better reception).
I liked Cheyenne as a character, I didn’t really like her and Dick’s situation. I think in better hands they could have been a neat couple. As much h8 as Brothers in Blood gets, it’ll always be one of my favorite arcs from that series. I mean, we got Cheyenne and we got two issues of GORGEOUS art work by Teranishi, so it wasn’t all bad.
