‘;2pac (Ft. The Outlawz) – Letter To The President
When I’m feeling uninspired or just generally not feeling ‘it’, I have this list of things that I consult for inspiration and enthusiasm. It’s a fairly small list, nevertheless, Tupac’s music is near the top. There’s this unwavering sense of truth and a scream for justice behind every one of his verses. For me, his music has always been a beacon of hope. It shows that perseverance always reigns supreme.

From 1994’s Thug Life: Volume 1Okay, I’m missing Cali. I admit it. And this song really captures the essence of what the air feels like out there.
It’s mostly a 2Pac solo jaunt with some weird half verses from Stretch and Mopreme. But man does it make you want to have a BBQ in the back of a convertible on an orange afternoon.
Such a great song.
