So I met Mr. Tomasi and Mr. Gleason yesterday at C2E2! Let me just say, they were literally the nicest people in Artist Alley.

I had mentioned Damian was my favorite, and then when he signed, he wrote this…and I started crying. This is literally the most beautiful thing I think I will ever receive from a con. It’s just so inspiring and hopeful. They’re both amazing guys and when I went over to talk to Gleason afterwards, Tomasi said, “Don’t make him cry, too!”.

It was just a really moving moment and I really, really appreciated it and thought I’d share it with you guys.

Alex Cox introduces The Parallax View on Moviedrome in 1988.

By way of expounding conspiracy theory details regarding Richard Nagell’s claims about the JFK assassination in addition to other interconnected cases related to the film to be shown, British director Alex Cox provides a fitfully intriguing introduction to Alan J. Pakula’s paranoia thriller The Parallax View (1974) for Moviedrome, a cult movie showcase that aired on BBC2 which Cox hosted from 1988 to 1994. —Spencer Everhart, The Seventh Art

I now have three jobs and I am working on a fourth. Who knows if Ill ever get paid for two of those four but, I am so thankful to have such wonderful opportunities. I love my new friends, Tony and Joe. They give me the push to succeeded and the confidence to grow. Even if it’s all through tough love. I’ve wanted to grow in the business world for so long and I feel that they are the most amazing people to have by my side. I feel like I owe them my successes.

On a more personal note, I realized today that my career means more to me than true love. That is a very scary thought because as much as I joke about it, I don’t want to be alone with my cats forever. One day…

*has literally hundreds of unread comics to read*

*spends half an hour trying to find a working torrent for that one specific comic I feel like reading right now that I didn’t know existed before I accidentally clicked on a wiki link half an hour ago*

Mad was the last kid I saw and he was asleep. He was 3 months old and they put him in my arms and he stayed asleep and they put him in the bath and he stayed asleep and I thought he was narcoleptic or something. Then he opened his eyes and just stared at me for the longest time and I just stared at him and I started crying and he smiled. And it wasn’t that he smiled that he liked me, it was just that I hadn’t held children in my life and I was always considered so dark and I always had so many things that made me feel like maybe I shouldn’t be somebody’s mom because certainly the world has an opinion of me and I’m not so sure about myself and am I gonna be the best mom? So the fact that this little kid seemed at ease gave me the courage to feel like I could make him happy. And so we became a family right then.
