    @ScottyLobdell

    Jason came back from the dead and became an anti-hero that wanted to protect innocents, respected and held women to high regards and if DC would let him grow as a character, could move on from his past. Roy Harper moved past his addiction, became a top member of two super hero groups and became a wonderful, loving father. Kory escaped from her enslavers, came to Earth, became a supermodel and a superhero and has since then mentored several young heroes and become a powerful role model.

    So far your reincarnations of these characters have done nothing so great, and will continue not to as long as you continue to turn a blind eye to the fact that you are writing these characters in a hurtful manner to the readers and the fans of these characters and continue writing them in such a manner. STOP ACTING LIKE A VICTIM. Grow up and learn to take criticism. And consider that you are wrong for once in your life. Like I said, if everyone says you’re dead, it’s time to lie down, Lobdell.

    Nefertiti

    Bust of Queen Nefertiti.

    One of the most famous, valuable and recognisable artefacts from Egypt in the world. Which is why there were hundreds of tourists, just like me, taking pictures of it with a flash on their digital camera and then moaning that the flash reflected off the glass.
    It’s attributed to the sculptor Thutmose, as is much of the collection. This bust is said to have heavily influenced modern standards of female beauty. Which is why there are so many beauty parlours named after her I guess…
    Her left eye is missing –

    “She only has the one eye. The left eye is a featureless white plaster void. No one knows why – on a bust so meticulously sculpted and painted even down the rouge on her prominent cheek bones – why does she only have one eye?

    Dissertations have been written about the missing eye. It was surmised that the artist, presumed to be Akhenaton’s royal artist Thutmose, may have intended the bust as a study for his students.

    Perhaps, some romantically-minded Egyptologists have speculated, the artist felt the bust was simply too perfect and so he removed one eye to avoid offending the gods.

    Or perhaps he was just about to apply the second crystal eye when the reign of the heretic king Akhenaton came crashing down about him and his studio. Perhaps the priests of the Theban god Amun were storming the gates of the royal compound at Aketaton and the artist had to bury the unfinished bust in the sand. No one knows what happened to him or, for that matter, to Queen Nefertiti.

    There is even a stubborn legend that the missing eye actually exists and that it is wrapped in tissue paper in a box and tucked away somewhere in the vaults of the Berlin museum”

    Hmmmm….

    Moissac Abbey: the cloister

    Moissac Abbey (or, to give it its full name, the Église Abbatiale St-Pierre) is a Romanesque abbey in the Tarn-et-Garonne region of South-West France. It is renowned for the decorative carvings on the south porch and in the cloister (the latter completed in 1100).

    The cloister’s roof is supported by 76 columns, alternating between single and double shafts. Each is topped with a capital decorated with Romanesque carving.

    He was sorry for her, but he no longer felt any affection for the girl who had been a wonderful part of his life for some time. Just as he had always shut his heart to other women who had betrayed him in the past, Bond forced Helena out of his life then and there.

    As he took out a cigarette and lit it, Bond wondered what was colder – the cruel realm of espionage that had victimized and ultimately destroyed Helena Marksbury, the icy summit of Kangchenjunga, or his own hardened heart.
