    niidz:

Batman taught me, guided me, trained me. What I am I owe to him. What more can I say? And Superman. I grew up in your shadow, too.
You taught me honor, selflessness, and the true meaning of the word ‘hero.’

Japanese Politicians Consider Building Real Life Gundam

It seems that the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan is in talks to bring working Gundam to life. Notable party members Tadamori Oshima and Bunmei Ibuki are scheduled to appear tomorrow on a popular Japanese video broadcast, Nico Nico Live, to discuss the possibility and benefits of creating and employing bipedal mecha and real Gundam.

The rapid development of mecha in the past few years makes it seem as though this was bound to happen. We’ve seen a few fully-functioning ones in the past, but when you have legitimate government officials contemplating such an endeavor, it’s hard not to wonder why.

Of course there’s the possibility that they could be used for defense or something along those lines. On the other hand, Japan is buried under a great deal of debt – why waste the yen on creating these things for such a rudimentary purpose?

Everything right now is just speculation, though. The party members of the LDP will hopefully shed some light on the rumors tomorrow during their broadcast. No word yet on when the interview will be recorded, but if they announce the start of the mech wars, we’ll be sure to let you know.

I swear on everything if this is true, I will move to Japan and will become an MS pilot.

    my life now has meaning.

    Justice League #6

Not a huge fan of the costume re-design, but The Phantom Stranger is still one of DC’s most baller characters.

I haven’t really read any further, but I really hope they don’t try and give him an origins story or something. A huge part of the character’s old-school charm is the huge cloud of mystery surrounding him.
